ATTENDANT
(Office Management Department)
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Attendant is responsible for maintaining general hygienic conditions at the JCAA’s Office Facilities. He/She is also required to support other operational activities and provide services, as required, to internal and external customers in a prompt, reliable and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Primary School level education, that is grade nine (9) level education.
- One (1) year experience in a similar position.
KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of standard hygiene practices.
- Basic knowledge of office protocol.
KEY NON-TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Literacy and numeracy
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to operate kitchen appliances
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with a team
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain Sanitary Conditions
- Cleaning offices, restrooms, pantries, passages, dining areas, kitchenettes/canteen areas, storage spaces and keeping assigned other areas in a tidy manner
- Clean office furniture, glass surfaces, windows, telephones, computers, photocopy machines, door handles and equipment, as required, on a daily basis.
- Wash utensils used by staff members.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and give an account for cleaning agents and tools
- Store and secure food in designated areas
- Maintain stock of food, beverage and utensils
Office Support
- Prepare and serve refreshments at meetings
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings, examinations, conferences and other functions
- Accompany driver to deliver mail when necessary
- Assist in photocopying documents
- Move and deliver files and documents between offices when required.
- Escort Service Suppliers to various departments in fulfilment of Office Management service schedule.
