About the Role:

With rapid growth in the past 18 months, we are currently looking for a dynamic Marketing Officer to join our team.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in establishing Caribbean Ideas Academy amongst target audiences, along with helping to drive incremental revenue and growth for the company.

To succeed, you’ll be adept at crafting and implementing integrated sales and marketing programs across a variety of digital and traditional marketing channels, along with effective storytelling and content marketing that advances company objectives.

You will also be an important representation of Caribbean Ideas Academy collaborating with executive and management representatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

Marketing Strategy Planning & Execution

Digital Marketing / Inbound Marketing / Content Marketing

  • Master implementation of inbound / attraction marketing techniques and apply on the company’s behalf, and utilize appropriate marketing automation and other tools to achieve key goals
  • Plan and manage all updates to the company’s website(s), and social media presences (includes but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube and other appropriate networks)
  • Track and manage the performance of all outbound engagement activities, seeking to optimize for reach of core messages to target audiences
  • Read and post to appropriate third-party blogs and publications, including fostering relationships with relevant parties on behalf of the company brand
  • Develop key content and storytelling plans, and directly execute key content aspects (written, image-based, interactive) or manage third parties to deliver
  • Actively monitor online mentions and reputation of the company and respond appropriately on the company’s behalf
  • Identify, secure and manage URLs for landing pages that can be used by the company
  • Oversee an online search optimization program for the company, including tagging content and identifying keywords to be used in paid and organic search
  • Constantly update and maintain both online and offline listings, paid listing services and others as appropriate to ensure company information is up to date
  • Build and maintain a permission-based list of prospects and facilitators and send appropriate periodic e-mailings and mailings.
  • Proactively posts company materials, videos, case studies, podcasts etc. on sites such as SlideShare, Youtube, itunes, the company’s website and more, including creating company channels where appropriate
  • Consistently measure the company’s presence using all available analytics tools (hubspot, google, third party platforms) and monitor the success of the company’s digital efforts

Event Strategy and Planning and Execution

  • Leading or participating in planning of company thought leadership events (independently branded or direct to strategic clients). This includes key topics, curriculum planning, identification of internal or external speakers, speaker recruitment, briefing and management of speakers and recruitment / management of attendees
  • Recruitment, Management and Assessment of third-party vendors to develop event initiatives, with an emphasis on delivering against plans in an on-time, on-budget fashion.
  • Breaking down market / client needs into briefings for internal or external speakers, partners and creation of associated execution plans.

Public Relations and Thought Leadership

  • Recommend and develop ways for the company to share its intellectual capital with current and prospective clients, such as seminars, white papers, research, blogging, third-party speaking engagements and more.
  • Work with in-house or external teams to identify opportunities to publicize the company and its work
  • Spearhead entries into industry competitions and awards as appropriate, including specific or general business competitions
  • Seek out and coordinate speaking opportunities for agency executives
  • Coordinates as appropriate, preparation and / or training of in-house personnel for public speaking / PR engagements

Process Design, Adherence and Continuous Improvement

  • Directly contribute to the development of marketing process and best practices that can be translated company-wide, including to client service and incubation / other teams
  • Contribution to a company knowledge base / library of best practices based on learning from active / historical activities and execution
  • Lead and / or contributing to post project reviews (events, other) helping to demonstrate success or otherwise of projects

About you:

Along with drive for results, inventiveness, agility, empathy and straightforwardness, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • 3-6 years of professional work experience
  • Minimum 2+ years in Digital – SEM, Paid Social, Display, Email, Mobile, Website, Analytics/Tracking and Social Media management or related marketing experience required.
  • Experience in digital marketing in a B2B and B2C environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills with strong ability to generate insights, understand competitive analysis, and conduct market assessments
  • Experience managing and executing cross-functional and complicated projects from start to finish and ability to drive results
  • Team player attitude with ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Robust communications skills – verbal (charismatic presentation skills) and written (editorial content)
  • Proficient in working with digital advertising, social media and analytics software and tools: Google Analytics, CMS, marketing automation platforms etc.
  • Knowledge and expertise of social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
