Gateway Agent
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities of all inbound and outbound material at the Gateway location
- Recoversand scans inbound materialsaccording to global standard operating procedures
- Ensures that all inbound and outbound shipments receive the correct checkpoints and sequence
- Establishes locations of all shipments listed on manifest and sorts material according to designated areas
- Sorts and transports shipments to DHLservice centre
- Prepare for flight arrival
- Receive material from the flight
- Prepare adhoc reports as requested
- Resolves any customs delays within BOS Country Target
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in a customs-related position or customs brokerage
- Certification in the handling of Dangerous Goods would be an asset
- Working knowledge of computer capabilities and related information systems
- A valid General Driver’s License
- Strong interpersonal skills
