Overview
The Laundry Manager is responsible for the overall management of the laundry department. This includes overseeing the daily operations of the laundry, ensuring that all laundry is clean and processed in a timely manner, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
The Laundry Manager will also be responsible for hiring and training new employees, as well as managing the department’s budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the laundry industry, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the laundry department
- Ensure that all laundry is clean and processed in a timely manner
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Hire and train new employees
- Manage the department’s budget
- Resolve customer complaints
- Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the laundry industry
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Must be a Caribbean National or Jamaican
