MANAGER, FINANCIAL REPORTING

SUMMARY

The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for providing financial information periodically and as required to and for both internal stakeholders including the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Managing Director (MD), and mandatory reporting and filing to external stakeholders including Regulators.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and provide technical support to the Financial Reporting sub-unit of the Finance Department
  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of the Financial Statements and its components, in accordance with International

Financial Reporting Standards “IFRS”

  • Utilize financial modelling and business intelligence tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
  • Prepare detailed analysis and commentary on cost and revenue centers.
  • Provide data to support business cases for, strategic and other business decisions.
  • Estimate and forecast future financial need and support programs with financial analytics.
  • Review operational activities and procedures and recommend new productivity or cost saving initiatives.
  • Assist with research and analyses for the determination of assigned product pricing.
  • Participate in the establishment of objectives and initiatives to contribute to the Banks vision.
  • Recommend financial policy and procedural changes based on market and legislative changes.
  • Engage in periodic cost analyses with the view to containing and reducing costs as practical.
  • Analyze revenue streams to enable decision making and to avoid revenue leakage.
  • Manage the timely preparation of the prudential returns
  • Assist with the implementation of automated projects as required.
  • Assist in the computation and timely filing of corporate taxes for the respective jurisdictions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/MA degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A professional qualification (ACCA, CGA, CPA) .
  • At least five years’ experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Experience in the financial sector will be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards “IFRS”
