VTG delivers Tomorrow’s Transformation Today. VTG is seeking a Project Manager for an International job site in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. What will you do? Reviews complex cabling infrastructure project RFQ’s and RFP’s and reviews bid documents to determine level of effort, schedule/time frame, funding budgets and limitations, creating project plans to accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Responsible for financial delivery of project on or ahead of budget. Manage large program or multiple installation projects in support of ISP, OSP, Security, AV, and DAS for both Federal and Commercial clients. Provide design input for design/build projects. Provide technical support to estimating team during bidding process and supports all project and cost reviews. Schedules project kickoffs with customer and senior management on new project awards. Provides required documentation to open new internal charge numbers. Validate cabling pathways and conveyances for required installations. Ability to build out telecom and MDF rooms with cabinets, patch panels, grounding, and overhead ladder rack conveyances. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Confers with project staff to outline work schedule and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Working with General and Electrical contractors when applicable on safety meetings and status and schedule meetings. Capable of managing multiple installation crews on large installation projects Generates and Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Identifies out of scope work on Firm Fixed Priced projects. Prepares project and periodic financial reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies. Provides quality assurance support on all projects. Supports Accounts Receivables and Payable groups in invoicing and billing of customers and subcontractors. Prepares purchase orders for materials and subcontractors to submit to Purchasing. Prepares, reviews, and submit project and contract deliverables. Do you have what it takes? Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years plus related experience with bidding and managing large cabling infrastructure projects. Prior defense contracting or military experience preferred. Licenses, Registrations Must have valid Secret Security clearance required. Top Secret Security clearance preferred. Valid driver’s license BICSI registered preferred but not required Must have valid US Passport with no less than 6 months until expiration. Travel required as needed for assigned projects. OEM certifications preferred BICSI RCDD certification or equivalent preferred but not required Active equipment certifications preferred but not required. OSP experience preferred but not required. ABF experience preferred but not required. Passive Optical Network experience preferred but not required. This position is contingent upon contract award.
