- Estimation Engineer
LOCATION: Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic
Purpose of the Job
- Plan, prepare, organize and deliver support documentation which allows ALSTOM to invoice customer according to cash-in plan defined by the Project Manager and Financial Manager.

Performance Measurement
- Accuracy between forecasted budget and invoiced amounts (per month)
- Delivery of documentation on time to customer
- Accuracy on documentation delivered to customer
Responsibilities
- Define clearly monthly targets to be reached according to the cash-in plan defined on contract
- Manage communication with the internal stakeholders and ensure availability of the documentation required for estimation activities
- Perform permanent follow-up with all internal stakeholders to reach define targets. Communicate all deviations to Project Manager and Finance Manager and present actions plans to recover then
- Organize all documentation collected; consolidate and prepare to deliver then to customer. Keep detailed records of all documents, reports and activities that support the authorized estimations
- Within the last week of each month, prepare progress generators and documentation to support invoicing of the project. Deliver all support documentation for estimations on time and with quality (without comments from customer)
- Negotiate with customer and unblock situation in case customer reject any item presented on a given estimation
- Provide accurate information to Finance Manager and Project Manager regarding past and actual status of invoices delivered
- Support the Project Manager in the process to define, document, deliver and negotiate extraordinary prices
- Keep the cash-in milestones table updated according to the estimations presented and accepted by customer
- Deliver information approved by customer to financial team in order to prepare the formal invoice document (billing) to be delivered to customer
Education / Skills / Experience
2 years’ experience in project control (estimation experience is a plus)
- Experienced in MS Excel (advanced level), MS Project, MS Power Point, Auto CAD and NEODATA software
- Knowledge on management of extraordinary prices
- Experience in contracts based on unit prices
- Basic knowledge of public works laws
- Good English level
- Autonomous, initiative and reactivity, highly resilient
- Organization skills and good management of priorities,
- Confidentiality awareness, excellent communication skills
