Airswift is seeking a Stakeholder, Socioeconomic & Local Content Manager to work on a permanent contract with a major Oil & Gas Company in Georgetown/Guyana
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for establishing the local content plan in compliance with the Local Content Act and the Laws of Guyana, coordinating the execution of the plan across different disciplines, monitoring the performance of its execution, and managing any deviations.
Map the company’s commercial impact on the local community and propose and monitor actions to maximize benefits for the population, as well as mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and difficulties due to business execution.
Manage and advise internal and external communications with different stakeholders, including employees, government officials and agencies, market, community organizations and others.
Develop and maintain local content, socioeconomic and communication-related document management systems, including, among others, policies, standards, process maps and work instructions, ensuring standardization and continuous improvement of execution practices.
Develop and maintain the Local Content Master Plan, in accordance with the Local Content Law, coordinating and monitoring its execution with the organization’s main actors.
identify deviations from the Local Content Master Plan and ensure that action plans are in place and specifically monitored to convey compliance.
Comply with internal and external reporting requirements regarding Local Content in accordance with internal regulations and standards.
identify potential and actual commercial feedback for the local community while maintaining an ongoing socioeconomic assessment.
Maintain contact with community organizations, establishing two-way relationships.
Prepare, review and publish internal and external communications in various media, including, but not limited to, social media, newspapers, websites and portals.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in communication or related field and continuing education in subjects relevant to professional performance are mandatory.
Experience with Corporate Communications is preferred.
Experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.
