Overview
Stores Clerk
The store clerk will receive, issue, organize, monitor, and maintain the facilities raw and packaging material inventory. This is to be done in a manner that ensures that the correct items are in stock and procured in a manner that is aligned with the company’s food safety and security policy while assisting with reaching the best price point. The stores clerk is responsible for maintaining efficiency, reduce operational cost, suggest alternative items to ensure that the facility operate at it most efficient level.
Key Performance Indicators:
– Assist with improvements in procedures and operations with the aim of improving quality, efficiency, productivity, food safety and security and general progress of company and its employees.
– Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations and the facilities food safety policy.
– Establish and maintain relations with all bodies and institutions, whether private or governmental, whose actions are relevant to the operations of CB group.
– Ensure that the CB Group core values, policy, objectives, and vision are communicated to staff.
– Maintain inventory procedures through reconciliation and weekly cycle counts.
– Ensure the safety of staff and assets.
– Weekly performance meeting to the Plant Manager on all operations.
– Conduct goods receival as soon as stock has arrived at the facility and coordinate goods receival of stock at other locations.
– Ensure that all documents needed for supplier payments are submitted to the payable department in a timely manner and all documents are processed upon receival.
– Work in conjunction with purchasing and logistics to track shipments to the Facility.
– Maintain all documents relevant to the facilities food safety policy.

• All staff should display a high level of discipline and competence and adhere to all applicable standards.
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience
• First degree in warehouse management and/ or Business management.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an inventory control environment.
• Creative problem-solving skills aimed at ensuring products are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to understand financial reports and statements.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft office and ability to use inventory software.
• Good oral and written communication skills as well as strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Strong leadership and the ability to work staff at all levels.
